No. Every Musterpoint licence has unlimited staff, Venue and Pro alike. Pro adds more for a changing team: every new starter gets their Challenge 25, allergen and fire safety briefings from the same poster, on their first shift. Your busiest season is when you take on the most new faces, so it’s when a quick, dated briefing saves you the most time. £19 a month or £190 a year.
Why do small single-room pubs need Musterpoint Pro if we already have the £129 Venue pack?
The Venue pack covers one law, Martyn’s Law, and you set it up once. Pro covers the checks that can happen on any ordinary Tuesday: a Trading Standards test purchase, an EHO asking how your staff handle allergen questions, a fire officer asking whether the new starter knows the assembly point.
Licensing officers tend to ask the same things: is there an age verification policy, does the person behind the bar know it, and can you show it? Pro gives you a dated, named record for every member of staff, built up as you go, so the answer is on your phone.
It won’t guarantee any outcome, and nobody honest can promise that. But it’s a record most small pubs don’t have time to keep by hand, for about the price of four pints a month. And if your pub holds under 200 people, so Martyn’s Law doesn’t apply, you can use Pro on its own.
We run a lot of pubs. How does Pro work across a group?
Each venue gets its own poster, its own briefings and its own inspection view, so a manager at any site can answer a licensing visit on the spot. Owners and area managers see every site on one screen: who is briefed, whose refresher is due, and which venues need attention this week. Staff who move between your pubs are briefed once on your group policies and once on each site’s fire procedures.
